    Reactivation of the LEDF

It is official, the LEDF program will be reactivated by its mother organization Latorilla Development Center (LDC), Inc. and resume work on the programs it has started eight years ago. Additionally, the organization will introduce new concepts as well as redesign some of its original activities.

Back in 1995, after 3 years of actively supporting young high school students in the Municipality of Maitum, the LEDF program was freezed temporarily due to technical reasons.

Now, some of the new programs of the LDC, Inc. include supporting young individuals who show promising potentials in developing locally existing technologies among others. The LDC, Inc. will also start a project of developing a "blueprint" for the overall development of the Municipality of Maitum as a pilot project. This will be expanded later to guide the development of the province.

For its various programs and projects, the LDC, Inc. needs volunteers who have skills or talents in research works and information management. These volunteers must also be natives of the Municipality of Maitum or Sarangani province. Alternatively, they can be non-natives but have lived in the said town or province for a while and possess a wealth of knowledge about these places. Interested individuals are highly welcome and can email the LDC, Inc. at this address:
